I'm in the market for a new vacuum but know nothing about them. Before I do hours of research, I thought I'd ask you all if anyone has a vacuum they really like and recommend. If so, leave me a comment or email me. Thanks!!
I heard great things about a brand called "Rainbow" vacuums from an ex-coworker. Works great for allergies is what she said. There's some kind of water collection thingy. I do not own one. Big Lots has Dyson's on sale...if you're going that route. Our dirt devil has worked pretty well for about 5 years. I would like something a bit better for my allergies, tho.
we got a dirt devil at target super cheap. i like it because it is light and easy to cart up and down stairs. we only have the basement and the front rug, though, so it doesn't get too much use. i like that it's bagless so i don't have to buy any bags to go with it, but i don't know if that's still a good thing if you have a lot of carpet.
my advice would be to get a dyson. You can buy a cheaper one then have to get another one in 2-3 years. Or get a dyson and have it forever. Sometimes Target will have a deal where if you buy a dyson from them you get a $100 gift card. So it's basically like $100 off if you shop at target anyway!
