You are One!

In one year you went from this...

...to this.


Amazing.



I love thinking back to one year ago.
Your birth was an incredible experience. It's hard to describe, really.
And I'll never forget hearing the doctor say, "It's a GIRL!"
We knew right away you were an overwhelming gift from the Father.
But we had no idea the extent of the joy that you would bring to our family.

 

You are your name - peaceful and joyful.
You bring much needed calm to the activity of our home.
One of my favorite things you do is when you reach for someone and then cuddle your head in their chest when they hold you.  It makes everyone feel so loved.

Your favorite thing to do is cruise around with your walker.  You get going pretty fast and take endless laps around the house, perfectly content walking by yourself.



You still adore your brothers and especially love when Mr. Mister holds you or cuddles with you.  You like to sit at the art table like them and lay in their beds.  You are happy as can be when they love on you.

 

I don't know how to even put into words our love for you and how much our whole family treasures you.
Mr. Mister said the other day, "Mom, I am so so so so so so so so so so so so happy I have a sister."

You are loved!

Happy Birthday, sweet girl.  We are so thankful for you and for this year with you!

Cake!

There has been so much going on around here.  We've had a lot fun events (stories and pictures to come). And the Lord is doing a lot in my life and in our family.  It's a busy but sweet time.

One highlight is that on Friday our girlie will be ONE!
I just love thinking back on her birth and what an amazing experience it was.
I'll reflect more when I write her birthday post, but for now just wanted to give you a glimpse of her first taste of cake!  We had a birthday celebration with my family a little early.  (We'll celebrate with the PA crew when we see them soon).

Before she opened her presents, we all spent some time praying over her.
This is her brothers and cousins praying for her.  I love it!
