Vacation...

...is good for the soul.
and the family.
and the marriage.
and the heart and mind.

My favorite thing about being on vacation was completely disconnecting from life.  No email. No to do lists. No stress. Just spending time together without all of the distractions that demand our attention at home.

It was so good. The boys loved it, of course. We discovered, not surprisingly, that Mr. Newton has no fear of the ocean.  I wish he had a little.  He giggled and splashed and tried to crawl in deeper and deeper so we had to keep a close eye on him.

Mr. Mister was body surfing and actually riding some waves in.  He loved diving underwater and testing out his new snorkel mask, which he was really excited about because he saw Curious George wear one once.

The days of relaxing in a beach chair with a good book have been replaced by splashing and digging and getting all wet and sandy.  And these days are full of fun and adventure!
