More Mr. Newton
Here are some pics of the littlest Mr. in the past couple days.
Sitting with his cousin (with help from Grandma).

He can now sit in the stroller without the carseat! Freedom! By the way, I'm a huge fan of our new sit and stand double stroller.
Playing outside on a beautiful afternoon. I'm also a big fan of cloth diapers. Hope to post more on that later.

Brotherly Love
I love this progression of pictures. Mr. Mister's smile gets bigger as Mr. Newton's face grows more painful. Situations like this happen often around here. Mr. Mister loves his brother so much but sometimes he's a little rough, despite his good intentions!
(these pictures are a couple months old now....and really grainy...but still funny).

Trucks and Camping
Our city had a Touch a Truck event where kids could climb in and pretend to drive all kinds of cars and trucks - fire engines, police cars, bulldozers, etc. A dream come true for a little boy who spots every truck we pass on the street.
Another fun adventure was Mr. Mister's overnight camping trip with Daddy. They set up a tent and built a fire in our friend's big back yard and endured ridiculously hot weather and a lot of bug bites. Good thing they weren't really out in the wilderness because they came home after Mr. Mister woke up screaming at 3am. A trip to the doctor the next morning explained it - a double ear infection. So far we are 0 - 3 in making it through the night on a camping trip. But at least they had fun up until then!

Finally... a blog name
Hey everyone! Remember me?
I last made a star appearance on this blog when I learned how to smile. That seems like ages ago. I'm a pro now and I even have a cute little giggle now to go with my big smile. It doesn't take much to get me going...some kisses on the cheek, a funny face or noise, or just my mommy looking at me. That always makes me happy.

Well, I'll be 4 months next week so I told my mom, "Hey mom, can I get a blog name? This waiting around is getting a little ridiculous." She said something about being indecisive and wanting to find the perfect name. But I told her to just go with something. I mean, it's just a blog name. I already have a pretty sweet real name.
So here I am, ladies and gentlemen. Mr. Newton. That's it. The first name she thought of when I was born and the one she's finally sticking with after coming up with a million others. It's not flashy, but it gets the job done. And if you don't see any kind of connection, think a little harder. Or ask my mom.

My most recent news:
- I can roll over from my back to my belly.
- I had my first sickness. I caught a cough from my brother. It wasn't very fun, but I'm pretty much over it now.
- I'm about 18 pounds. If you don't know, that's pretty big for a baby my age. I love that milk.
- Every once in a while my dad tries to give me this thing they call a bottle. I'm not having any of that - I know it's not the real thing. They should have tried it when I was little, like a month old, when I didn't know any better. So far, I'm more stubborn than they are. We'll see who wins.
Well, I'm glad to finally share some blog love with my big brother.

3 Years Old
Happy Birthday, Mr. Mister! You are 3, which amazes me. I love reflecting on the day you were born. We entered into such a new season of life, having no idea what was ahead. And here we are, three years later and so thankful for every day we've had with you.
I'm sure I'll say the same thing every year, but it's true - you are growing up so fast. You are becoming a boy and not so much a toddler. I love you immensely and am so thankful for how God created you and the purposes He created you for. You bring joy to our lives and there is never a dull moment in our house. I love your blooming imagination, the ways you make us laugh, your compassion for hurting people, and the way you love life.
Here's a look over the past three years.
(Did you notice the icing already on his face? that's because this is his second cupcake with candles and people singing Happy Birthday. He liked it so much the first time that he asked to do it again.)

The last of vacation
Evening Peace
I realized I never finished posting vacation pictures. Life just keeps going too fast, I guess. There will just be one more post after this one, then I'll get back to what's going on in our lives, which has been a lot.
These are some of my favorites. There were two nights that my dad took the boys to the beach at night after dinner. It's such a peaceful time, after the daytime crowds are gone and the sun begins to set. Both times, Mr. Mister was in his clothes and after just wanting to put his feet in, ended up soaking wet. That made it all the more fun and memorable.
